Data-Driven Solutions

Hey, I'm Ahmed

I transform complex operational challenges into confident business decisions by building statistically validated simulation ecosystems that combine real-world experience with rigorous experimentation.

How Can I Help You?

🔍

Understand Your Operations

Build simulation ecosystems that reveal material flow, identify bottlenecks, and show how your system actually behaves—not how you think it behaves.

⚡

Optimize Performance

Apply rigorous statistical methods and Design of Experiments to reduce costs, increase throughput, and validate changes before implementation—preventing millions in unnecessary spending.

🎯

Plan with Confidence

Leverage predictive modeling and scenario analysis to make strategic decisions backed by data—turning uncertainty into actionable insights for your business.

Simulation and Optimization Engineer

Building simulation ecosystems that make complex decisions obvious.

Most businesses face the same dilemma: how do you make confident decisions about complex operations when there are thousands of moving parts and millions of dollars at stake?

For the past three years at Tesla, I've been solving this problem by building what I call "simulation ecosystems"—integrated systems that are statistically validated to match reality, automatically process real operational data as inputs, and deliver actionable insights directly to your team. This isn't just simulation. It's not just analytics. It's a complete approach to turning operational chaos into confident business decisions.

My methodology combines real-world operational experience with academic research in statistical validation. I use Design of Experiments to prove what works before implementation, not after. The impact: double-digit improvements in throughput and equipment efficiency, and significant cost avoidance by preventing changes that looked good on paper but would have failed in reality. But more importantly, teams gain the confidence to make bold decisions knowing the data backs them up.

My background spans industrial engineering in Egypt, operations optimization across multiple industries, and graduate-level research in transportation economics and data analytics at TU Dresden. I bring both the technical depth to build sophisticated models and the business acumen to make them useful.

Doing Now

Tesla LogoOptimizing material flow at Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

My full-time gig helping accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Building simulation ecosystems that make big decisions a little less scary.

Rubber DuckRunning the Rubber Duck Factory

My fictional factory where I work through very real operational challenges. I share case studies with my LinkedIn network and learn from fellow simulation engineers, operations managers, and anyone curious enough to join the board meeting.

Swimming

My childhood love and the thing that keeps me sane. Most evenings, you'll find me at one of the pools near my studio in Berlin. There's something meditative about moving through water that clears my head after a day of optimizing factories.

🎻 Attempting to learn violin

Turns out it's way harder than I thought. Some evenings when I'm not swimming, I'm making questionable sounds with this beautiful instrument. Progress is slow, but the challenge is a different color added to my life palette. Something I always try to do.

ضReading Arabic literature

I'm part of a Telegram group working through a year-and-a-half program of Arabic prose literature; both contemporary and heritage works. It keeps me connected to my roots while living abroad. Always room for more readers if you're interested.

Planning a YouTube experiment

Preparing videos about decoding social systems dynamics; basically what I do with the Rubber Duck Factory, but for social systems instead of factories. These will be in Arabic, for an Arabic-speaking audience. We'll see how it goes.
